On Monday I went into a studio here in Denver with my buddy Josh Harty, and we recorded some duets together. The plan is to release an EP (or maybe more) from the session at some point, but we don’t have any specifics on that yet. What we do have is a tune that you can already listen to posted above, a cover tune from our friend Blake Thomas, hope you enjoy! We were too excited not to post a little preview.

Oh, and don’t forget, the Mid-western tour starts next week, with dates in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Check the calendar page for more details.

Looking forward to a busy August full of tour dates in Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Some highlights: three of the Colorado shows will be split bills with my good friend Josh Harty, a hometown show back in Madison at the High Noon Saloon, a show in a barn in western Wisconsin, and a stop with the Daytrotter folks to record my first DT session!

I’m opening two shows for Wisconsin-legend Peter Mulvey coming up quick here. I first saw Peter play at the equally legendary Cafe Carpe in Ft. Atkinson, WI back in 2003 when I was just a Freshman in college and it was definitely a (pardon the expression) kick in the nuts for me to get going on that songwriting thing. So pleased to be opening for him for the first time, I hope you can make it out to one of the shows if you live in the area.
